Watermark Studio Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Watermark Studio by AiJoe is a Chrome extension that adds a watermark to your images and video clips. It is built so that your files stay on your own computer.
Your images and videos
Everything you add is processed inside your browser, on your computer. Your images and videos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Finished files are saved to your Downloads folder.
What is stored, and where
-
Your settings and logo are kept in your browser so they are there next time. They never leave your computer.
-
Your Pro licence, if you buy one: the licence key and the email address you bought it with are kept in your browser so Pro stays unlocked.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all of this. You can also remove your licence at any time with "Remove licence from this browser".
The only data that leaves your computer
When you activate Pro, and about once a week after that, the extension sends your licence key to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com) to check that it is valid. Gumroad replies with the purchase details, such as your email address and whether the purchase was refunded. Nothing else is sent. Purchases are handled by Gumroad, which acts as the seller of record under Gumroad’s own privacy policy (gumroad.com/privacy).
"Watermark this image" on websites
If you right-click an image or video on a website and choose "Watermark this image" or "Watermark this video", the extension asks your permission to read files from that site. Then it downloads only that one file into the studio. It does not read or change anything else on the page, and you can withdraw the permission at any time in Chrome’s extension settings.
