Accessibility statement for aijoe.uk
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This statement explains how accessible aijoe.uk is, the problems we know about, and how to contact us if something gets in your way. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the site.
This statement applies to the website aijoe.uk, which is run by AiJoe.uk. It covers the artwork gallery, the free AI art prompt library, the prompt generator, and the guides and videos.
aijoe.uk is a private website, so the UK public sector accessibility regulations do not apply to it. Even so, we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 level AA.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across the whole site. At the moment, parts of the site fall short. We know about the following problems:
-
Some text does not have enough contrast against its background, so it can be hard to read. We found 16 instances, including on the home page, the AI videos page, the blog list, the contact page and some blog posts.
-
Some pages have headings that are not in a logical order, which makes it harder to move through a page with a screen reader. We found 5 instances, including on the AI videos page, the FAQ and information page, and some blog posts.
-
Some components on the AI videos page cannot be used by assistive technology and need an accessible replacement. We found 3 instances.
-
Some blog cover images do not have alternative text, so their content is not described to screen reader users.

Technical information about this website's accessibility
AiJoe.uk is committed to making this website accessible.
This website partially meets the WCAG 2.2 level AA standard. The known problems are listed below, with the success criteria they relate to.
-
Text needs sufficient colour contrast — 16 instances, on pages including /, /ai-videos, /blogs-list, /contact, /post/how-to-choose-the-right-ai-art-tool-for-your-goals and /post/impact-of-ai-on-art. This fails WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum).
-
Headings need a logical structure — 5 instances, on pages including /ai-videos, /faq-information, /post/how-to-choose-the-right-ai-art-tool-for-your-goals, /post/impact-of-ai-on-art and /post/revolutionizing-education-with-ai-video-key-advantages-explored. This fails WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships and WCAG 2.4.6 Headings and Labels.
-
Component needs an accessible replacement — 3 instances on /ai-videos. This fails WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value.
What we're doing to improve accessibility
Joe has the following fixes planned. We have not set dates for them, and we will update this statement as each one is completed.
-
Fix the heading structure so each page has one H1, followed by H2s in order — 8 issues across 8 pages.
-
Fix colour contrast problems — 9 issues across 9 pages.
-
Fix the serious colour-contrast failure on the element comp-mmtss37t.
-
Raise the contrast on the two flagged text elements.
-
Replace the three critical inaccessible components in the video list — 3 issues on 1 page.
-
Add alternative text to 7 blog cover images.
-
Label the controls on the prompt generator.
-
Re-run and finish the accessibility check: the last one could not read 72 of the 84 pages.
How we tested this website
